Dancing the night away

I was delighted to be asked by WeddingShe to write a short piece on their Prom Dresses*. If you’ve seen my recent wishlist posts, you’ll know how much I really like sparkle and pretty dresses ( I own far too many!). I greatly enjoy dressing up for a night out ans what could be more fun than dressing up for prom with your friends? Personally, I’ve always fancied going to an elegant ball, with a sweeping ball gown and sparkling heels on! There are so many gorgeous dresses to choose from, so I’ve selected just some of my favourites (as well as inspiration behind the pieces).

This beautiful blue Cinderella inspired dress would most certainly see you as belle of the ball!

I really like the style of this stunning red dress. Red is sure to make you stand out, and this skirt was made to swish down a grand central staircase.

Speaking of swishing, look at the glorious tulle on this dress. The dress comes in over 20 different colours, something for every taste and skin-tone. The beaded neckline and belted waist are particularly detailed and match the colour of the dress perfectly. No need for statement pieces with this outfit, simple, elegant earrings would be perfect.

If you’re wanting a more timeless look, then this is the perfect dress. With beautiful beaded embellishments on the arms and delicate flowers along the skirt, this is a gorgeous piece. Again, this comes in a range of colours, but the emerald is my favourite. I would wear this with a red lip, and simple up-do for a classic 1940’s style.

Lastly, I’ve picked this cute shorter number, as not everyone wants a sweeping dress (and they’re not as easy to dance in!). The champagne floral detailing flows down the bodice to mid-skirt (more tulle!) and has a matching collar to bring the look together. Finally the bow along the waist line helps add empathise.

They certainly have quite a selection, if you’re in the market for an outfit for Prom check out  their ‘2015 latest Prom dresses collection’ and ‘Discount Prom dresses 2015 collection’ here:

What do you think? Do you have a special occasion coming up you’d like to wear one of these too?
