Transfixion- a review

COVER-FINAL-texture copy

I was sent a copy (pdf) of this book to review by J.Giambrone. It is his first novel, and is labelled as a young adult sci-fi thriller.

I am currently still reading this book, as I have discovered I find it incredibly hard to read large chunks of text on my computer/kindle and much prefer reading from hard copies. Which is the only reason I am yet to finish this book!

The premise is unusual with enough differences from the many other YA books to make it worth a read. As, although it is set in a dystopian future with a young female protagonist, she is mute due to traumatic events (at least at the start) and the cause of the threats around her is the weaponised broadcast spectrum (gaze at it and you will be destroyed).

So far, this book has been interesting and well written. I look forward to eventually finishing it and writing a more detailed review.

Other reviews (from people who have completed the book) can be found here.
